Heard a client say she hates how her highlights "grow out" after 3 weeks
Was at the supply shop last Friday and overheard this woman complaining to her friend. She said her highlights look bad after just 3 weeks. Like she expected them to stay perfect forever. I get that some people don't know how highlights work. But it made me think about how we explain maintenance to new clients. Do you guys give a timeline upfront about when to come back? I usually say 8-10 weeks for a refresh but maybe I need to be more specific. How do you handle this talk?

Yeah, I tell people right off that highlights need touchups every 6-8 weeks.

Ugh, I feel your pain, it's like a never-ending cycle with those roots!
