Hit 500 foils in one day last week

My book was packed back to back and I did 500 individual foils on three clients. My fingers were cramping by hour six but I pushed through. How many foils is your max before you tap out?

500 foils in one day? My max is about 50 before I start dropping foils and questioning my life choices. How do you keep your hands from completely giving up?

Hey @sandralee, have you tried using a wrist brace or compression gloves? I do small batches of crafts at home and my hands start cramping up after like 30 minutes. What helps me is taking a break every 10 foils to stretch out my fingers and shake my hands loose. Also making sure I grip the foil with my whole hand instead of just pinching it really cuts down on the fatigue.

It's wild how your hands just tap out before your brain does. That whole grip thing Daniel mentioned is spot on though. Real world application bleeds into everything you do with your hands. Working with tools all day, I see the same problem. People death grip things when they get tired, makes everything worse. It's like a chain reaction, starts in your fingers and works its way up to your shoulders before you even notice.
