My 10am color correction went orange at the bowl, and I'm rethinking my whole mix ratio
Had a client in the chair last Thursday, level 6 going to an ash blonde, and the mid-lengths came out straight up orange at the bowl. I mixed my lightener a little hot trying to speed things up for a 2pm appointment and paid for it with 40 minutes of toning and a very quiet client. What got me was my coworker glanced at it and said one thing: "you rushed the saturation at the back." She was right. I've been doing this 6 years and still skip the section check on the back of the head when I'm behind. Now I'm wondering if I should just go back to mixing smaller batches and doing two passes instead of one big bowl. How do you all keep yourselves from speeding up when the books get tight?
