My client's hair grew 3 inches in 3 months and I finally figured out why
I have been doing hair in Sacramento for 11 years and I have a client named Dana who comes in every 6 weeks like clockwork. For a long time her hair just sat there, same length, always looked a little dry at the ends, and she kept asking me what she was doing wrong. About 4 months ago she switched salons on me for a bit, no hard feelings, and when she came back her hair looked totally different, fuller and longer. I asked her straight up what changed and she said her new stylist told her to stop washing every single day and to stop ripping a brush through wet hair. She also started using a leave in spray and sleeping on a silk pillowcase she got for $18 online. In 3 months she picked up about 3 inches, which is way more than the half inch a month you would expect. I am not saying everyone needs to quit washing daily because that depends on your scalp, but the wet brushing thing was the big one for her. Has anyone else seen a client make one small change and get that kind of turnaround?
