Pro tip: I switched from a standard 1 inch curling iron barrel to a 1.25 inch one for my client with fine hair.

The bigger barrel gave her way more volume and a softer wave that lasted two days longer, hands down. Anyone with fine-haired clients tried a similar switch?

My sister has that fine baby hair and her stylist uses a 1.5 inch wand on low heat. The bigger curl pattern just seems to hold its shape better without any product.

Yeah I saw a stylist on tiktok talk about this. She said the bigger barrel doesn't pull the hair as tight so it doesn't go flat as fast. Makes sense lol.

Oh that's so true, I have the same kind of hair. I switched to a bigger curling iron last year and it was a total game changer. The curls actually last all day now instead of falling out by lunch. I mean, I still use a little hairspray, but way less than I used to need. It just doesn't get that weird crimped look from a smaller barrel.
