Serious question, does anyone else think the '10 minute consultation' rule is a bit of a trap?
I hit 500 appointments last month and looked back at my notes. I found that the ones where I let a new client talk for 15, even 20 minutes, ended with way fewer callbacks for color corrections. It's like the extra five minutes lets them actually explain what they hated about their last haircut in Portland, instead of just pointing at a picture. I know time is money, but I think rushing that first chat costs more in the long run. Has anyone else tracked their numbers and seen something similar?

Totally, my rebook rate shot up when I stopped watching the clock.
