TIL my color mixing was off because of how I stored my tubes
Left a bunch of semi-permanent tubes on the windowsill during that heatwave last month and they totally separated - tried to save a client's balayage and ended up with weird patchy spots. Has anyone else had storage issues mess up their results?

Those semi-permanent tubes are probably fine if you just stir them back together. The color might be a little off but it's not like they're ruined. Heat just makes the binder separate out.

Had a friend leave a tube of pink in her glovebox last summer and forgot about it for like a week. When she opened it up it was all watery looking on top with this thick goopy stuff at the bottom. She tried stirring it back together with a toothpick and it looked kinda chunky no matter how long she mixed it. Ended up putting it in her hair anyway and the color came out super patchy with some parts way brighter than others. She had to strip it out with dish soap and start over.
