Tried that new toner with purple pigments on my mom's gray roots yesterday
Mixed it up at 6pm after a long day of cuts and ended up with a weird blue streak right above her ear. She laughed it off but it took two washes to fade enough to look normal. Anyone else have a toner do something unexpected like that?

Ugh, the blue streak struggle is real. I had almost the exact same thing happen on my own silver regrowth (trying to blend them out, you know) and it turned this horrifying swampy green-teal. What finally worked for me was doing a quick baking soda and clarifying shampoo paste scrub on just that spot, left it on for maybe 5 minutes before rinsing. It yanked out enough of the excess pigment without stripping the whole head like another full wash would have. Also learned the hard way to only use those purple toners on clean, dry hair and not to let them sit for more than like 3-5 minutes tops.

Hear me out - what if the blue pigment reacted with leftover purple toner residue? Could be a weird chemical cross reaction nobody talks about.
