Why does nobody talk about how our wrists die from foiling?
Tbh I used to do foils the same way for 8 years, hunched over the bowl with my wrist bent at a weird angle. Last month in Austin I hit 3 full highlight appointments in one day and my right hand was numb by dinner. I switched to a lower chair and started using my fingers to slide the foil instead of twisting my wrist, and it's like night and day. Has anyone else had to rework their setup just to save their joints, or am I the only one who ignored the pain for way too long?

Numb by dinner sounds rough, but I've been doing this for over a decade and my wrists are fine. Maybe it's more about hand size or how you hold the comb, not just the chair height.
Honestly, the whole "carpal tunnel scare" thing feels like the latest salon trend to stress about. If it was that bad, we'd all be retired by 30.
