Debate: best day vs worst day on a crawler crane? I'll tell you mine first.

Had a week last spring on a job in Portland where everything just clicked. We set 12 beams in 4 hours with a Liebherr 1300, no re-spots, and the oiler had coffee ready at 10am sharp. Then two weeks ago I had a day where the swing brake failed on a pick, and the load drifted into a scaffold. Lost half a shift waiting for the mechanic. Which scenario do you learn more from? Has anyone else had a day that was either perfect or a total wreck?

Ain't it funny how the bad days teach you way more than the good ones ever do?

Watched a buddy lose his job out of nowhere last year. He spent six months scrambling, taking crap gigs, and finally started his own handyman business. Now he says getting fired was the best kick in the pants he ever got.
