Fog on the Kessler job taught me to trust my spotter more
Last Tuesday on the Kessler site in Pittsburgh we were doing a steel beam lift when the fog rolled in so thick I could barely see the landing zone from the cab. My spotter kept waving me left but I thought he was wrong, so I held position for a good 7 minutes until the foreman yelled up that the load was swinging toward the edge. Has anyone else had a moment where your gut overruled the ground crew and it almost cost you?
