Found out most crane accidents happen on the ground, not in the air

Ngl I was reading through some OSHA reports last week and it caught me off guard. Something like 80% of incidents happen during setup or tear down, not while you're actually lifting. I always figured the sketchy part was the load swinging around at height. But turns out it's all the rigging, outrigger placement, and ground conditions that get people. Does your crew have a solid checklist for setup or do you just wing it like some guys I've seen?

My buddy tried that "feet on the ground" thing and slipped on a puddle five seconds later.
