Man, that's the thing with gear these days, everybody chases the newest model but the old reliable stuff just WORKS. It's like buying a truck, the fancy ones have all these screens and sensors, but the simple ones never leave you stranded. Honestly, you made the smart call, going with what's proven over what's just new.
