Pro tip: I ran a 300-ton crawler for a month in Toledo and then swapped to a tower crane for a high-rise job.

The tower crane's precision with the remote control for blind picks was just... night and day better for tight city work. I felt way more in control of the load, especially with the wind up there. Anyone else find they work better with one type over the other for specific jobs?

Wait, they seriously made you do that on your first day? No way, that's like throwing someone into the deep end without even showing them where the pool is. I can't believe they didn't start with the basics first. That must have been so confusing and frustrating to figure out.

Tower cranes are way smoother for those tight spots, no doubt about it.
