Rant: I called those load chart apps a crutch for lazy operators, then a guy in Tulsa proved me wrong
Three months ago I watched a new guy on our site pull out his phone for every pick and I flat out told him he was wasting time that a paper chart in the cab would save. Last month we had a blind pick behind a warehouse wall in Tulsa, and my old eyes misread the radius by about 4 feet while his app flagged the pick as over capacity before we even boomed out. I ate crow right there in front of the whole crew. Now I run the same app on my personal phone, though I still keep the paper chart as backup because batteries die. Anybody else make the switch late and feel dumb about it, or am I the only one who had to get humbled by a 26 year old with a phone?
