Spent a whole shift tracking a load pin glitch that turned out to be a loose ground wire
Last Wednesday I got a call about a Liebherr LTM 1060 that kept throwing a random overload fault even with nothing on the hook. I checked the load cell connections, swapped the display unit, even recalibrated the thing twice, that ate up about four hours right there. Finally I traced the harness back to the chassis ground and found a corroded terminal that would lose contact every time the boom slewed over 40 degrees. It was a 15 cent fix after six hours of chasing ghosts. Anyone else had electronics act up like that over a simple ground?
