Swapped from paper load charts to a tablet app 6 months ago on a crawler in Portland
I used to keep a beat up binder with all my load charts taped into it, taking 5 minutes to flip through for each pick. Then I tried a tablet app that does the math for you based on boom angle and radius, and it cut my setup time in half. Has anyone else made the switch and found the tablet battery life to be a problem on long shifts?

Holy cow, six months on a tablet in a crawler in Portland? That rain and grit must be a nightmare for the screen. I'd be worried about dropping it off the cab floor into a puddle of mud. Battery life I get, but idk, the Portland weather would scare me more than a dead battery on a long shift.
