That $400 anti-two-block sensor saved my boom from a nasty wreck
I was setting up for a lift in a tight yard near a high-tension line last month and almost swung right into it. The sensor I bought from a local shop in Tulsa was around $400 and it screamed at me just in time. My old setup didn't have one, and I used to just eyeball it, which is stupid in hindsight. Did you guys have to learn the hard way too or did you get lucky with your rigs?

Eyeballing it" is pretty much how I used to roll too. I honestly thought those sensors were just an expensive crutch for guys who didn't know what they were doing. Then I had a close call with a transformer bank that made me change my mind real quick. Now I run one on every rig I set up in a tight spot.

Bet you're glad that transformer didn't turn you into one, @reed.eva.
