That hand signal book from 1978 saved a pick last Thursday
Old job down in Savannah, the new guy kept mixing up his swing and boom signals, so I dug out a beat-up copy of the OSHA manual from my truck and went over the classic hand chart with him before a 14-ton lift. It was like a light switch flipped, he nailed every move and we set the steel without a single shout. Anyone else keep a paper manual around for green operators, or is it all phone apps now?

Question if a hand signal book really saves a lift or just the operator paying attention lol.
