That one comment about my swing path fixed a 2 year bad habit
I've been running a Liebherr 130 ton for about 2 years and always had this slight drift when I'd swing with a full load. Nobody said anything until last month a site super named Frank watched me set a few beams and asked why I was fighting the joystick so hard. He said stop trying to correct every inch of drift, let the crane finish its own move and then brake. I thought he was full of it but tried letting the swing coast a little more before tapping the brake. Total game changer on my fuel burn and my pick times dropped by maybe 15 minutes over a 9 hour day. Because I'm not micro adjusting constantly I'm way less tired too. Anyone else get told something that simple that made you feel dumb for not figuring it out on your own?
