Thought those little wind speed apps were junk until a gust hit 31 on the load chart
I always used the flags on site and my gut to judge wind, figured a phone app was for office guys. Then last Tuesday in Amarillo I'm booming out over a two story building and my phone buzzes, 31 mph gust. I pulled the chart and we were right at the edge for that radius and boom angle, so I brought the load down. Foreman was mad about the delay until his own anemometer read 34 a few minutes later. Anyone else actually running a wind app on the job, or am I the only one who switched?
