Vent: Used a 3/4 inch nylon sling on a tricky lift over a fence in Everett and it stretched way more than I figured.
The load shifted about 6 inches mid-air because the stretch took up the slack I'd planned for, so now I add an extra foot of clearance for any synthetic rigging on a blind pick. Anyone else have a rule of thumb for nylon stretch on long lifts?

What if the real issue isn't the nylon itself but how you loaded the sling, since a knot or a tight bend can make even a new sling stretch unevenly? @andrew916, I've had similar surprises where I blamed the gear but later found out it was how I wrapped the fence that changed the pick point angle. The extra foot of clearance sounds like a cheap fix compared to dropping another load into the water.
