Am I the only one who writes prompts from random facts I learn at work?

I work front desk at a motel in Boise and a guest told me that in 1994 a man stayed in room 12 for 47 straight nights and paid cash every single day, and nobody ever knew why. I wrote a prompt about that room that same night and got 8 pages out of it. Now I ask every guest for one weird thing about their job or town and I have a whole notebook of these. Where do you all pull your prompts from when your own life feels boring?
