Hit 100 writing prompts in my notebook this morning and it felt weirdly real

I started jotting down story ideas last January (just random stuff like "what if a mailbox could talk") and I hit number 100 today. Kind of surprised me because I never thought I'd keep it up that long, you know? About 30 of them are total garbage, but a few actually turned into short stories I posted online. Anybody else keep a prompt list and find that the bad ones sometimes spark the good ones?

Man, that's cool. I keep a folder of random lines on my phone and I'm maybe at 40. The bad ones are the most useful honestly, like trashy ideas that turn around and bite you with something good. Keep going, the garbage is worth saving.

My phone is at 63 lines saved and honestly I think most of them are just dead weight. Half of my "bad" lines stay bad no matter how long I sit on them. Its like keeping old leftovers in the fridge hoping they turn into a gourmet meal but really they just stink up the place. I deleted my whole folder last month and started fresh with only stuff that actually sparked something right away. The garbage theory sounds good but in practice I think it just clutters your head space. Maybe some people can pull gold out of trash but for me its mostly just trash taking up room.
