My Tuesday prompt group destroyed my 2,500 word story in 15 minutes and I'm still mad about it
We meet at a diner in Portland every Tuesday and last week I brought in a prompt about a lighthouse keeper who finds a message in a bottle, and everyone tore it apart because the bottle note was too obvious. My friend Dana said the keeper should find a grocery list instead, and now I can't stop thinking she's right. Does your writing group do this too, or do you guys just say nice things and move on?
