Pro tip: writing one sentence per sticky note fixed my plot outline mess
I spent 3 hours trying to outline a mystery novel on a single sheet of paper last month. Kept crossing stuff out, running arrows everywhere, it looked like a conspiracy board. Then my buddy Jen from our writers group said just grab a pack of sticky notes and put ONE event or clue per note. Took me 45 minutes to redo the whole thing and I actually finished the draft after that. Has anyone else found a weird little trick that made plotting click for them?

Then color code the sticky notes by subplot so you can shuffle them like cards.

Wait, you color coded them too? @grantthomas that's actually genius, now I gotta buy a whole rainbow pack of sticky notes.
