Spent $40 on a writing prompt deck and it kicked my block

I got The Story Engine deck from Amazon last month and used it for 3 days straight. It's just cards with random characters and conflicts on them. Got me out of a 2-week slump where I couldn't write more than a paragraph. Anyone else use something like that to get unstuck?

People freeze up because they want the first thing to be perfect when really you just need to get something down and fix it later. It's like cleaning a messy room - you don't start by organizing the sock drawer perfectly, you just start shoving stuff into piles. Same with workouts or learning a new skill, everyone waits for the perfect moment or the perfect plan and ends up doing nothing. Why do we all fall into this trap of thinking we need to be great at something before we even try?
