Used to hate using story cubes for writing prompts, until I tried them with a timer

I always thought those Rory's Story Cubes were gimmicky toys for kids, you know? Then I gave myself 3 minutes per cube roll to write a paragraph, and it actually killed my blank page problem cold. Has anyone else found a weird tool that unlocked your writing flow?
