Hit 800 on my credit score and nobody warned me this would happen
I finally cracked 800 last month after grinding for years. My score jumped from 782 to 803 after paying off a $4,200 balance on my Capital One card. Now every single credit card company keeps mailing me pre-approved offers and my mailbox is full of junk. Has anyone else had their inbox and snail mail blow up after hitting a certain number?

Right? "Opens the door" is the perfect way to put it. It's like once you're visible, every scammer and low-effort marketer thinks you're their target. Do you think it's just the visibility that attracts it, or is there something else about being seen as successful that makes people think you'll fall for their junk?
