I finally broke 700 after being stuck at 680 for like two years

I was at the bank getting a car loan quote and the guy told me my score was 703 and I literally asked him to check again cause I didn't believe him. I had a bunch of late payments from 2020 that just dropped off and I guess that did the trick. Did anyone else see a big jump once old bad stuff fell off your report?

Ha! I totally get the disbelief, but honestly I'd argue those late payments dropping off isn't some magic bullet (more like slow, boring time healing). A 23 point jump is solid but that's just normal aging of your credit profile, not some big secret sauce.

Oh wow, @skylerc86 my buddy had the exact same thing happen when his old collections vanished, shot up 40 points overnight.
