Just caught a $35 late fee because my payment date changed

My credit card company switched my due date without telling me last month and I missed the new one by 2 days. Called them up and asked if they could waive it, but now im worried it might show up on my credit report anyway. Anyone dealt with this before and gotten it removed from their history?

My coworker had a card company sneak in a date change too and they wiped it.

Read somewhere that late fees under $25 usually don't get reported at all, so maybe $35 is borderline. You should be fine if they waived the fee, just keep an eye on your credit karma for a month or two.
