Paid $30 for a credit monitoring app that caught a fake account on my report within 2 days
It flagged a credit card I never opened in Colorado and now I'm wondering if anyone else has had luck with those cheaper monitoring services over the free ones.

Paid $30 and now you're in panic mode over a Colorado credit card that probably got flagged by an algorithm looking for anything slightly off. Free services catch the same stuff most of the time, but people just don't check them as often. Unless it's a $10,000 fake account, I'd say you're fine and the app is just doing its job to make you feel like you got your money's worth.
