That moment I realized my 15 year old card was hurting my score more than helping
I was looking at my credit report last week and saw my oldest card has a $300 limit that's been stuck there since 2009, which made my utilization look way worse than it actually is. Has anyone else kept a junk card for the history and then regretted it when you saw the numbers?

Oh geez, is it really that big of a deal though? I mean a $300 limit on a card from 2009 isn't gonna tank your score unless you're maxing it out every month. The age of credit part probably helps you more than the utilization hurts you anyway. I'd keep it open as long as there's no annual fee. Just stick a small subscription on it and set autopay and you're fine.

Wait... @schmidt.amy, how would a tiny subscription not still count against that utilization?
