TIL those credit repair companies are a total waste of money

Honestly, I paid Lexington Law almost $100 a month for six months because they promised to fix my score. All they did was send dispute letters I could have written myself for the cost of a stamp. My score only went up 12 points, which happened right after I paid down a card on my own. Has anyone actually had a good result with one of these services, or are they all just taking your cash?

Lexington Law took my money for the same basic dispute letters.

Ugh, same exact experience. Save your cash and just pull your reports for free, then dispute the errors yourself.
