Vent: Paid for a credit monitoring service that basically just showed me my own bank app
Spent $29.99 a month for six months before realizing the 'alerts' were just my regular payments being reported. Could have saved $180 just by checking my free weekly report. Anyone else get burned by a service that promised more than it delivered?

Man, that's rough... I signed up for one of those identity theft protection deals a while back. Got an urgent alert that my social security number was found on the dark web. Panicked for a whole day before realizing the "dark web" was just the public record of my own home loan application. Paid twenty bucks a month to be scared by my own paperwork.
