Appreciation post: That $30 switch opener I almost didn't buy

I was totally skeptical about paying for a dedicated switch opener when a screwdriver always worked for me. Then I tried to swap springs on 60 Cherry MX Browns last weekend and my thumbs were killing me after the third one. Does anyone else find that the right tool actually saves more time than you'd think?

Yeah, totally worth it. Thumbs are too important for that kind of abuse.

Actually had a buddy who tried that whole heavy grip thing with his thumbs. Dude ended up with a nasty sprain that took weeks to heal. Couldn't even open a jar of pickles.
