Can we talk about getting a perfect solder joint on a USB-C port?
Honestly, I spent like 4 hours last night trying to solder the port on a 60% board, and I just kept getting cold joints or bridges. Ngl, I watched three different YouTube guides before it finally clicked. Has anyone found a specific iron tip or flux that makes this way easier?

Just use more flux, honestly.

Flux can't fix a bad joint, it just makes a mess. I've seen people use a whole bottle on a single pipe fitting. What specific problem were you trying to solve with more flux?

More flux just covers up poor prep work. Elizabeth_Gonzalez has it backwards because a clean joint needs very little. Too much flux boils off and leaves voids that leak later.
