Changed my mind about using foam in my 60% build
I was set on using the thick packing foam that came with the case for sound dampening. A friend in Seattle told me to try the thin sorbothane sheets he had left over from his build. I swapped it out last night and the difference is huge, way less hollow echo. Has anyone else tried sorbothane in a smaller board?

Where'd you get the sorbothane?

Where did your friend get the sheets from? I've been looking for a good source for that stuff. The thin sheets make a lot of sense for a 60% board... you really don't have much room to work with in there. Thick foam can actually press on the PCB and cause issues sometimes. That hollow sound is the worst, glad you got it sorted out.

Same here man, I had the same hollow nightmare on my first 60% build and thin neoprene sheets from Amazon sorted it right out. Night and day difference, never going back to thick foam again.
