I finally got my stabilizers to stop rattling with a trick I saw on a forum

I was putting together a 75% board with some new linear switches, and the spacebar rattle was driving me crazy. I tried the usual clip and lube method, but it still had this awful hollow sound. I saw a post from someone in Seattle who said they used a tiny bit of plumber's grease on the wire ends where they hook into the stem, not just dielectric grease in the housing. I was skeptical, but I had some Danco brand grease from a job. I applied a very small amount, just enough to coat the contact points, and it made a huge difference. The wire doesn't click or shift anymore, and the sound is a solid, deep thock now. It took me three tries to get the amount right without making a mess. Has anyone else tried this specific method with a heavier grease, or did I just get lucky?

Honestly saw a video where someone used a tiny bit of super lube on the wire ends too. Tbh it seems like that spot is way more important than people talk about.

Tried dielectric grease there, works way better.
