I finally tried lubing switches with dielectric grease and now they feel mushy

Everyone said it was a cheap way to smooth out my Gateron Yellows so I grabbed a tube from the auto parts store down the street. About 40 switches in, half of them started feeling heavy and sticky, and I realized I used way too much. Did I ruin the batch or is there a way to save them without desoldering everything?
