I used to lube every switch stem with a brush, now I just do the rails and springs

For 2 years I meticulously brushed lube onto each stem side, took like 4 hours per board. Then I tried just bag lubing springs and dipping the stem rails in Krytox 205g0, it's 90% as smooth but takes 30 minutes tops. Anyone else cut corners and get the same results?

Then I started lubing switches with just the stem poles dipped in 105. Works fine.

Read somewhere that a lot of the big keyboard builders just bag lube their springs and dip the stems, never seen them brush each stem individually. I tried that method after seeing a teardown of a custom shop board, and honestly I can't tell the difference in feel, but I save like 3 hours per build. The only thing I still brush on is the switch housings where the leaf contacts the stem, that one spot needs a little more care. Otherwise, dipping stems in 205g0 works fine for me on linears, never had any scratchiness issues.
