Just realized I was lubing my switches all wrong after a brutal comment on my build video
Someone said my typing test sounded 'scratchy and uneven, like you lubed them with sand.' I was just globbing lube on the stems. Now I use a tiny brush and focus on the rails and stem legs only. Anyone have a better method for Gateron Yellows?

Honestly, globbing can work fine if you know what you're doing. I just put a decent amount on the stem and work it in by hand before putting the switch back together. The extra gets pushed out and you avoid dry spots. My Gateron Yellows feel smooth as hell with that method, no brush needed. People get way too fussy about the "right" way to lube.

People get way too fussy" is so true. I just do what works for me and my switches feel great. Why stress over the perfect method?

Wait so are you saying you just hand work it into the crevices, or does it get evenly spread when you press the switch together? I feel like I'd end up with a thick layer on the outside of the stem and dry spots on the rails doing that.
