My brother said to lube the stabilizer wires and I didn't listen
He told me to put a tiny bit of dielectric grease on the wire bends before clipping them in, but I was in a rush and skipped it. Built the whole board and the spacebar had this awful metallic rattle that drove me nuts. Had to take everything apart again just to do that one step, which fixed it completely. Anyone else have a simple tip they ignored that cost them time later?

You didn't lube the wires at all?

That sounds like a painful mistake.

Saw my buddy try to force some old speaker wire through a tight grommet once. He was so sure it would go, @elliotl24, he just kept pushing. Ended up stripping the whole thing back like three inches, copper was all frayed. Had to cut it and start over, total waste of good wire. That crunching sound still haunts me.
