Not sold on the whole brass plate hype for feel

I built my last 3 boards with aluminum and polycarbonate plates instead of jumping on brass like everyone else. After swapping a brass plate from my old Tofu build with the polycarbonate one last month, I actually prefer the flex and softer bottom out way more. Anyone else find brass too stiff for daily typing?

Totally get where you're coming from. I tried brass in my first custom build and it felt like typing on a brick wall. The harsh bottom out gave me finger fatigue after just 20 minutes of coding. Swapped to aluminum and never looked back. The polycarb board in my daily driver is way more forgiving during long writing sessions. I'd take a little flex over that stiff, unforgiving feel any day.

Have you tried a brass plate with different switches or a softer mounting style though? I run a brass half plate in my daily board with some long pole switches and it actually feels super crisp without that harsh bottom out. The key for me was pairing it with some thick o-rings and a decent foam layer, now it's my favorite typing feel.
