Spent 3 hours on a build and realized my stabilizers were backwards

I was putting together a new 60% board last night and could NOT figure out why the space bar felt mushy. I swapped switches, checked the springs, even took apart the stabs twice. Finally I looked at a build guide on YouTube and saw the wire was supposed to go TOWARDS the board not away from it. Felt SO dumb but hey now it works perfectly. Has anyone else made a simple build mistake that cost them way too much time?

Did you have to desolder everything to flip them or were you lucky enough to catch it before you soldered? I swear stabilizers are the most humbling part of this hobby.

Dodged a bullet on my first build and checked before soldering, thank goodness. Caught it on the spacebar stabilizer and it was still easy to flip with the pcb unmounted. But man, the second build I got cocky and had to desolder eight switches just to get to one stubborn wire stabilizer. It really is the most humbling part, makes you feel like a total beginner every time. Now I triple check everything before I even think about touching the iron.
