That thread about gasket mount vs top mount made me redo my whole plate. Someone in the GB discord said my FR4 plate was 'muting the whole sound profile' and I spent the next 4 hours swapping in a POM plate on my Alice clone. Honestly, the difference is subtle but the bottom out feels less harsh, especially on that left shift where I bottom out hard. Has anyone else gone down a plate rabbit hole off one comment and ended up with a dozen spare plates?

Oh man, I totally get this. I read once that POM plates are softer than FR4 and it sent me down a whole path too. Now I have like six plates sitting in a drawer and I only ever use one of them.
