Tried swapping switches on my board and ripped a pad right off the PCB

I was swapping out some Gateron Yellows for Boba U4Ts on my DZ60 build last night. Pulled the switch out and the entire solder pad on the left Shift key came off with it. No hotswap on that board, so I had to jumper a wire from the switch leg to the nearest diode. Took me an hour with a magnifying glass and some 30 gauge wire. Has anyone else had luck fixing ripped pads with just wire or do you just toss the PCB?

Oh man I FEEL that. Ripped a pad off a Planck PCB once and spent an hour swearing at it with a bodge wire thinking I was some kind of electrical surgeon. Honestly if the trace is still there and you're patient with the soldering iron it usually holds fine, just pray you never have to desolder that joint again.

Used a toothpick to dab superglue under the lifted pad first, held it together perfect.
