Used the wrong stabilizer lube for 2 years before a group buy discord call tipped me off

The 205g0 and Super Lube mixing thing is actually a pretty common mistake, lots of people don't realize they're grabbing the wrong one. I've seen a few threads where folks used dielectric grease on linears and ended with a weird sticky mess. Did that group buy call mention a specific lube chart or did they just tell you to switch it up?

Do you think part of the problem is that some of these greases have identical packaging but different chemical bases? I had a buddy who used a silicone-based lube on a polycarbonate plate and the stems literally fused together in a week. He tried prying them apart and the stem tops just snapped clean off. The irony is the group buy leaders probably just assumed everyone knew the difference between PTFE and silicone compounds. They should have printed warnings right on the bottle labels.
