Fell for a phishing text that looked just like my bank
Got a text yesterday saying my Chase account was locked and I needed to verify my info. Clicked the link and it looked exactly like their login page - even had the same font and logo. Entered my username and password before realizing the URL was off by one letter. Had to freeze my account and spend 3 hours on the phone with fraud department to clear it up. Anyone else nearly get caught by those super realistic fake bank texts?

Honestly I used to roll my eyes at people falling for those texts, thinking "how do they not notice?" Then last month I got one from "USPS" about a package delivery and I nearly clicked it myself. It really is scary how good these scams look now. What did the bank say about how long you need to watch your account for?

The bank told me to keep an eye on it for at least 90 days, but they said some scams can show up even six months later. I've been checking my account every few days now, which is exhausting. Did yours actually have a tracking number or just a generic link? Those are the worst because they look so official.
