Had to pick between Bitwarden and KeePass for my password manager last month

I went with Bitwarden since it syncs across my phone and laptop without extra setup, and KeePass felt too manual for how lazy I am. Anyone else switch and regret it or stick with the offline approach?

Uhh I think you got that backwards. Bitwarden still needs a server or cloud setup unless you self host which is a hassle. Keepass you just carry the file on a USB stick and it works anywhere with no internet.

Hang in there @faithbaker, I totally get where you're coming from. Self hosting can be a pain and not everyone wants to mess with that. Keepass is solid for carrying around a simple file on a USB, no fuss, no internet needed. Bitwarden is nice for syncing across devices but the setup thing is real if you don't want to use their cloud. I've used both and honestly Keepass wins for just being straightforward and private. Have you ever run into trouble with losing that USB though?
